Champa Island Honored with the “Best Green Hotel in Vietnam” Award – Affirming Its Position in Vietnam’s Green Tourism Trend 2025
On September 27, 2025, in Hanoi, Champa Island Nha Trang – Resort Hotel & Spa was honored at the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 in the Best Green Hotel in Vietnam category, along with 112 other outstanding enterprises and organizations in the tourism sector nationwide.
The Vietnam Tourism Awards is a prestigious event regularly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to honor businesses and organizations with outstanding and innovative achievements in tourism, contributing to the development of the national tourism brand. Champa Island receiving the “Best Green Hotel in Vietnam” award affirms its long-term commitment to sustainable investment, eco-friendly development, and providing visitors with genuinely green experiences.

Thanks to the united efforts of its leadership, staff, and operational teams, Champa Island successfully met the evaluation criteria to be recognized in this category. The resort has implemented and continues to implement the following:
Energy and Resource Management
- Using scientific lighting systems and renewable energy solutions.
- Collecting waste and used batteries, and handling waste according to standards.
- Investing in wastewater treatment systems.
- Installing the largest rooftop solar power system in Nha Trang to supply electricity for resort operations, saving up to 50% of daytime energy consumption.
Nature Conservation and Green Landscape
- Preserving clean, green spaces and minimizing negative impacts on ecosystems.
- Covering the resort campus with abundant greenery to create a fresh, cool atmosphere for guests.
- Building the art sculpture “Happy Green Hands”, symbolizing and promoting green living, highlighting the importance of nurturing and protecting the environment.
Green Service Quality
- Using eco-friendly materials such as paper cups, paper and fabric bags, biodegradable bags, sugarcane-fiber boxes, and limiting single-use plastics.
- Promoting “green” services in guest rooms, spas, and facilities.
- Recycling plastic bottles to create green works like windmills, flower gardens, and lighthouses, delivering a message of green living and environmental protection to visitors.
It can be said that Champa Island is a standard-bearer for “green resort living” in Khanh Hoa, with years of effort covering 80% of its area with greenery, quickly becoming a “close friend” of the environment. At the same time, Champa Island contributes to creating jobs for local residents and positively impacts the socio-economic development of Khanh Hoa province.
